Tomorrow is the first day of school.
Normally I’d be nervous.
And maybe I will be in the morning.
I’m already reconsidering my ‘first day’ outfit.
I didn’t panic or stress about starting this year (at least not too much).
Maybe it’s because we didn’t just move a month ago.
Or put an offer in on a house at the same time.
Or cram all of my necessities into a 400 square foot apartment.
“They” say that starting a new job and moving are two of life’s biggest stressors.
I don’t plan on doing those two things at the same time again any time soon.
So now that we’ve been here for a year, and have settled, gotten to know the school and town, I don’t feel the stress of the year yet.
I have five years under my belt.
Does that have anything to do with it?
In any case, I’m going to do some reading before I try to fall asleep.
I just started Divergent.
It’s been on my Kindle forever
What is it about dystopian societies that reel me in?
Is it that they’re so far from society as we know it?
Or so similar?
